Bubba's Story - Never stopped protecting his owner.
Bubba's owner passed away recently. Some of you may have seen the notes going around to find Bubba a home. Jim, Bubba's owner, was found in his home. When the paramedics arrived, Bubba would not let anyone touch his owner. The police required Bubba to go to the shelter until the family could make arrangements for Bubba. Jim's friends tried diligently to get Bubba out of the shelter. Through phone calls and emails, we were able to get Bubba out of the shelter and into foster care until a new home was available.
A good friend of Jim's had a running list of families wanting to give Bubba a good home. We are happy to say, Bubba went to his new home on Thursday, 12/9. Many friends of Jim wanted to give Bubba a loving home and one of them is getting a chance to love this incredible boy. He was so scared when we picked him up from the shelter, but on the way home, we stopped for a hamburger and we became good friends. When we turned Bubba over to go to his new home, his tail was wagging, head up high and happy. Just like all doxies should act. Bubba is in good hands and will be microchipped so he will always find his way home.
We have other cases like Bubba in our foster care today. Due to age and health, they will probably live out their life in our care. So please consider donating to help others in situations like Bubba. Bubba was lucky his owner has wonderful friends that were looking after him and insuring his safety. Not all pups have this.
We encourage anyone who has a pet, please make legal arrangements for them now and let those close to you know. Select a guardian for your pets in case you become ill. Do something now to keep your pet(s) from ending up in a shelter.
Joe received calls from NY, MI and other state wanting to help Bubba. There was a great outpouring of help for this little guy. I'm sure Jim is smiling!
Help Snoopy find his way home.
Snoopy is now home with his young owner, Jeremiah!!
