2011 Expenditures

Your financial support is greatly needed. This organization relies on public donations for funding. Please give what you can. It's amazing how the pennies add up. Also know that over 80% of your donation goes directly to rescuing and caring for the pets. Review our mid year expenditures to see where the money is spent. Please help us continue our mission of saving lives and providing needed services to the communities. This organization is comprised of volunteers and we use foster care for our pets. We do not own or rent a facility. No part of your donation is used to pay for staff or facilities. This helps keep operating costs very low. Please consider making a donation today.

Keeping Pets w/Families

Two horses and a mule

One of our volunteers has been helping place two horses and a mule. Their owner needed to move, but didn’t see how she would take her pets with her. After checking several possibilities, a real estate agent (who also rescues pets) was able to find the owner a home where she could keep the horses and mule. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, another family can stay together.

Ferret and a Cat

We recently helped a family, stay a family. Due to economic times, a young adult needed to move back home with her parents. The only problem was she has a pet ferret that is part of her family. Her parents have a young cat that is part of their family.

At first they were looking for a good home for the ferret. She really didn’t want to give up her ferret, but she didn’t want to see the ferret get hurt. After some coaching from one of our volunteers who has a ferret and a cat as part of their family, the ferret was able to safely stay with her owner. Last update, kitty and ferret and getting along.
